Starting in the sixth grade Patricia began her sewing and design career by making scrunchies for all her friends as Christmas gifts. She then moved onto bigger projects, like boxer shorts, to wear under her catholic school uniform. High school passed with many other odd creations and when college arrived she decided to study Dance. Being involved in the Performing arts only spurred on her interest in design and she began by making costumes for her choreographer friends.

She graduated from Hunter College with a B.A. in Dance studies and a minor in Theater. While in school she attended draping classes at F.I.T., in NYC and Moore college of Art and Design, in Philadelphia. Her summers involved studying dance at festivals such as, the American Dance Festival and by participating in workshops in Mexico and Denmark.
